The DUOLINE 2-phase track system is extremely flexible and offers numerous possibilities for individual lighting arrangements. The various spots and pendant luminaires can be positioned anywhere in the track and can thus be used in all living areas. The 2-phase system enables two lighting groups to be switched or dimmed independently with just one power supply. The DUOline system can be switched or dimmed separately with a 4- or 3-wire cable (see question 13).

The DUOline 2-phase system can be operated with two current-carrying phase cables. This makes it possible to connect two different circuits to the track system. It allows different luminaires per phase to be switched on and off and dimmed separately as required.

The installation of the DUOline track system must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

A total system length of up to 30 tracks (max. 30 meters) per feed-in is possible. The system is therefore characterised by maximum flexibility and efficiency.

When planning, the wattage per phase should be taken into account rather than the number of lighting points. When using the universal power supply (7010xx), the load per phase is limited to a maximum of 600 Watt. If the feed-in is used with an electronic phase changer(7011xx), the maximum load is 200 Watt per phase.

All light sources can be replaced or relocated at any time. To do this, the locking screw on the adapter must be loosened and the lamp can then be removed by turning it through 90°. When engaging the adapter, please make sure that it sits straight in the track.

To do this, set the switch in the adapter of the lamp to position 0 or 1. The setting can be changed at any time.

No. The DUOline system from TRIO is operated with 220-240 volts so that no transformer or ballast is required.

Yes, the DUOline system can be mounted on both ceiling and wall.

Yes, mounting on slopes is possible without any problems. The Flex connector (7020xx) can be used for the transition from a slope to the ceiling.

Yes, but the shortening of the track(s) must be carried out by a qualified electrician. Improper shortening can lead to operating faults or increase the risk of electric shock. Individually shortened tracks cannot be returned for exchange. We assume no liability for tracks shortened by yourself.

A feed-in is required to establish an electrical connection between the power supply and the DUOline system. The feed-in can be mounted in different positions. Either at the end of a track or in the middle between two tracks. Additional connectors are required to connect the feed-in to the track. Connectors are required for use as end feed-in, two connectors are required for use as middle feed-in. If the current outlet is not directly above the feed-in, the flexible power supply (7012XX) can be used to bridge a maximum distance of 1 m.

When using the universal power supply (7010XX), a 4-wire power cable is required to enable separate switching or dimming of the two phases. The various switching operations can be performed either with a series switch or two separate on/off switches or dimmers. The maximum load capacity of the universal power supply is 600 Watt per phase. The feed-in with electronic phase changer (70111XX) makes it possible to switch the system into two lighting groups, even with 3-wire power cables. By actuating a normal wall switch or rotary dimmer several times, the phases are electronically controlled and can be switched or dimmed separately or together. The maximum load here is 200 watts per phase. Both types of feed-ins are mounted directly above the power supply and can be connected either at the end of a track or anywhere between two tracks.

Yes, you can design your personal DUOline track system with two separately switchable and dimmable phases. For a phase to be dimmed, only dimmable luminaires and/or lamps may be used within the phase. (see questions 15 & 16)

In connection with the universal power supply (7010xx), the dimmer should be suitable for LED lamps and equipped with a mini-potentiometer. The dimmer may be optimally adapted to the connected loads of the lighting system used by means of potentiometer. In addition, care should be taken to ensure that the respective lamps in the dimmed phase have approximately the same wattage per phase (+/- 2 watts). If the wattages vary by too much, there may be problems with the minimum and/or maximum brightness. A lamp with a low wattage switches “OFF” earlier in minimum operation, while a lamp with a higher wattage can be dimmed even further. Please also always pay attention to the specified minimum and maximum load of the dimmer!

No. The selection of connectors depends on the position or the run of the protective conductor (earth). With the DUOline 2-phase tracks, the protective conductor is carried along on one side of the track profile. The position of the protective conductor (right or left) is determined by the installation of the respective power supply. It is therefore important to pay attention to the correct selection of components during the planning phase, in order to ensure a consistent protective conductor routing. The position of the protective conductor and/or the routing of the protective conductor in the case of connectors, is marked on all components with a sticker (grounding symbol) on the outside of the component. Drawings may be viewed at “trio-lighting.com/duoline” under the corresponding item number. Tip: Draw your system for yourself and mark the course of the protective conductor.

Both the 0.5 m track and the 1 m track each require two spacers.

No, the cover strips (703952) serve a purely optical function. The system can easily be used without cover strip.

The cable that is too long is simply wound up in the cable shorter (7033XX). Depending on the material and thickness of the cable a shortening of approx. 80 cm is possible.

Only the open ends must be closed with an end cap. When mounting with a maximum of two open ends, the two end caps of the feed-ins can be used! If you have more than two open ends in your system, additional end caps (7030xx) are required.

Using the pendant adapter (7035XX), pendant luminaires with simple cable (one supply line) can be easily incorporated into the DUOline track system. The pendant luminaires must meet the following requirements: Protection class II (pendulum without earth connection), maximum 60W and a maximum weight of 2 Kg! The pendant luminaire must be connected in the terminal box of the adapter by a qualified electrician.

No, only DUOline accessories can be used in the DUOline system.

The DUOline system is not automatically smart. When using our WiZ lamps, however, they can be integrated into the WiZ Smart Home System.

First of all, you should make a true-to-scale room sketch. Sketch out the areas that need to be illuminated - take account of general lighting and accent lighting. Now select the appropriate feed-in - where is the power outlet, which power cable is available, which switches or dimmers are to be used? Now define the desired track run and plan the corresponding connectors. In the case of corner and T-connectors, attention must be paid to the position of the protective conductor, which must be continuously connected within the system. Do not forget the connector to establish the power supply from the feed-in to the first track (see questions 12 & 17). If the system is to be suspended, select the length and corresponding number of spacers. Now just choose the right luminaires and that's it!
